The Power Plant’s 2010 summer group exhibition Adaptation explored the human desire to connect with other species through interaction with non-human animals and the natural world. With work covering a broad range of media including photography, film, video, sound installation, painting, and sculpture, created by both emerging and established Canadian and international artists, the catalogue testifies to the cross-generational interest in the topic. The catalogue contains writings by The Power Plant Director Gregory Burke and curator Helena Reckitt, biographical surveys of the participating artists and colour reproductions of works in the exhibition.
This publication is a proud recipient of the 2011 Immortal OAAG Awards in the Curatorial Writing category.
