John Körmeling: A Good Book is a 180-page fully illustrated colour publication documenting Körmeling's significant output over the last twenty-three years. Also featured are Körmeling's notes and an extensive photo travel diary of failed and successful modernist architectural sites and urban landscapes in Europe, the Americas and Asia. Since 1981 Körmeling has designed and/or built an array of objects and installations including: dog suits, a public park with faux clouds and sunlight, a ferris wheel for automobiles and their drivers in downtown Utrecht (Mobile Fun), large-scale neon birthday signs on buildings, and many others. Each project retains a critical, unconventional approach to architectural standards and design and build projects, often prioritizing the automobile and the urban infrastructure.
